O Shepherd of Israel, from whom comes forth one who shall feed your flock, we gather as those who dwell in the folds of your embrace and care.  Your love envelops us like swaddling cloths wrapped around a babe in a manger.  Your countenance shines like a star which led the shepherds one night.  We behold your radiance as we enter your sanctuary and praise your name for the Christ who brings us salvation.  Amen.

Zion Christmas Card Delivery System

Joyce Fairbanks has stepped up to organize our Christmas card delivery again this year.  There is a church member list and boxes set out in the fellowship hall. Please pick them up every week; only shut-ins will have them delivered.  If you wish, our Ad Council encourages you to give a small donation (for what you save in mailing costs) to our music fund to pay for substitute pianist while  Pam is on vacation.

Living Nativity is December 17 from 5-7pmWe need food and people to help with costumes and people to wear costumes.  Please see Arlene to sign up for being a character.  Contact Chris Braxton if you can help with food and Donna if you can help with costumes.  Please take a flyer to share to spread the word.

Blue Christmas Service is December 19 at 7pm.  This is a special service for those for whom the holiday season is not a 'happy' one.  Please spread the word.  Invitations will be ready December 1 to share with a friend or neighbor who needs this worship time.

Family Service at 5pm Christmas Eve, especially for families with children.  Simple 1/2 hour service where we read the Bible story, interspersed with hymns.  There are simple costumes if children wish to be a Bible character or animal.  Come a few minutes early to pick your costume.  Sit with your family.  When we read about your character come to the front to create our manger scene.  No speaking parts.  The 7pm Christmas Eve service will be a candlelight and communion service.
